I would say do not go to this club, but considering it's not open (under that name and management at least), I don't need to. But if it WAS open, I'mma tell u the deal: Jackson, Tennessee apparently still thinks black people are in slavery days. When it WAS Club Xtreme, I was leaning on a wall in there one night when this bouncer told me to move. I didn't, since the place was not packed, I paid to get in, and I knew this guy, for some reason, did not like me anyway. So when I defied him, he got the other bouncers to rough me up and they fractured my nose. Yep, all because I was leaning on a wall. I tried to sue the club, but this asshole and that asshole of a judge during the hearing got that clown off. I hope that punk is resting easy cuz his ass is mine. Anyhow, most of the so-called "mixed" clubs (translation:owned by Caucasians) have the nerve to play hip-hop and R&B, but most of the time when black people try to get in these clubs, they are turned away for ridiculous reasons. Such as wearing Fubu or Phat Farm. Yeah, laugh, but it's true. According to them, those clothes constitute you being in a gang. If any club owners from Jackson are reading this, then yeah, that's how nonsensical your thinking is. Then again don't go to any "black clubs" either, because it seems the only reason why black people go out in Jackson is to hopefully see that person they have beef with so they can get into a fight with them in front of everybody. If not that, then it's to stand around and talk about people. Whatever happened to going out and actually having FUN?
And to be really real, most of the time the DJs at some of these clubs SUCK anyway. Yeah, I said it. Don't like it, oh well. Anyway, they suck because they seem to play the same stuff in the same order EVERY week, they run their damn mouths through most of the good songs, and they play all the BS that keeps a bunch of dudes on the floor while the Ladies are sitting down looking bored. ATTENTION ALL DJS: MOST WOMEN DON'T WANNA HEAR THAT GANGSTA, "THROW YA HANDS/SIGNS IN THE AIR" S**T" ALL NIGHT LONG!
I personally get tired of seeing nothing but guys on the floor the majority of the night. Damn DJs act like they can't slow it down for a while so a man can get close to a woman outside of her shaking her a*s all over the place (not that I don't like that, but damn, show some moderation). And I really get sick of the best songs coming on and they try to "mix" them or play just a small sample of it then play some BS song that never seems to end. Oh and on the slowing it down thing, Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On" is getting OLD. I love that song but it seems that's the only slow song DJs know. Play some Jodeci or Mint Condition of Jamie Foxx. AND PLAY THEM FOR MORE THAN 5 MINUTES! I'm no DJ but I bet I could keep my club packed full of women if I was. Anyway, stick a fork in me--I'm done. |
